Monsoon session to resume from today

The second leg of the monsoon session of Jharkhand assembly would begin from Friday during which the House is scheduled to hold a special discussion on impact of the incessant rains in the state on August 26, besides passing few bills including one transferring power to appoint vice chancellors in the state universities from the governor to the chief minister, people aware of the development said on Thursday.
The week-long monsoon session was scheduled from August 1, but it was adjourned sine die on August 4, in wake of the demise of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) patriarch Shibu Soren. The session is being resumed by the Speaker
