Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely in Rajasthan

The Meteorological department has forecast a fresh spell of heavy to very heavy rainfall in eastern Rajasthan later this month, driven by a developing weather system over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the Met department, a circulation system is currently active over the Bay, which is expected to lead to the formation of a new low-pressure area around July 24. Its impact is likely to trigger intensified rainfall activity in parts of eastern Rajasthan between July 27 and 30.
