Bihar govt to send proposal for inclusion of 'bataidars' in PM Kisan Samman Nidhi

Co-operative minister Prem Kumar on Thursday told the state assembly that the state government would send a proposal to the centre for including bataidars (sharecroppers) among beneficiaries for the Pradhan Mantri Samman Kisan Nidhi scheme, during a reply to a starred question raised by CPI(ML) (L) MLA Birendra Prasad Gupta.
PATNA:
"We will send a proposal for inclusion of sharecroppers in the PM Samman Nidhi yojana. Besides, in Bihar we are also giving various benefits to sharecroppers or farmers doing farming on others land through direct benefit transfer (DBT),"" said the minister.
