{ MARCO RUBIO } STATE SECY OFFERS ASSISTANCE, SAYS INDIA ‘VERY CAPABLE’ OF PROBE
The United States is aware that tensions between India and Pakistan could escalate in the wake of the car blast near the Red Fort and has offered to help New Delhi in its investigation, US secretary of state Marco Rubio said on Thursday, even as he underscored their faith in the capabilities of the probe.
“We are aware of the potential that it has - and so we spoke about that a little bit today-the potential that it has to become something broader. But I think we're going to wait to see what their (India’s) investigation reveals,” Rubio said on the sidelines of the G7 Foreign Ministers meeting in Canada.
