Trade fee linked to property tax process

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Tuesday approved a major change to its licensing system, deciding to merge the general trade and storage licence with the property tax payment process.
Under the new system, the general trade licence fee will be fixed at 15% of the property tax of a premises and can be paid along with the annual property tax, removing the need for a separate application or licence.
