Shah Appeals To Insurgents In NE To Lay Down Their Weapons

Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday urged insurgents in the northeast to lay down their weapons and join the mainstream as he appealed for peace in the region.
NEW DELHI:
Addressing the "Unity Utsav - One Voice, One Nation" event organised by the Assam Rifles in the Capital, Shah said the northeast wants peace and development, and that the region wants to work as an integral part of India.
