'Green' industries' consent norms eased
Hindustan Times Noida
|July 15, 2025
Starting August 2025, consent to operate (CTO) applications submitted by Green Category industries in Delhi will be automatically deemed approved if no action is taken within 20 days, the Delhi government announced on Monday.
This marks a sharp reduction from the earlier 120-day approval timeline, officials said.
“This was a long-pending demand from the business community of Delhi,” said Delhi environment and industries minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
“We are ending the era of unnecessary licences and approvals that stifled growth for decades,” he added.
