False Cases Grave Injustice to Rape Victims, Says HC

The Delhi Police on Thursday named former Aam Aadmi Party MLA Naresh Balyan in a supplementary charge-sheet filed under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), citing his alleged links to UK-based fugitive gangster Kapil Sangwan.
NEW DELHI:
The charge sheet, filed before special judge Dig Vinay Singh at Rouse Avenue courts, also names three others accused of being part of the organised crime syndicate led by Sangwan. The case is listed for consideration on Friday.
Balyan, a former MLA from Uttam Nagar, is currently in judicial custody. He was remanded in January after the court denied a 10-day police custody plea. The police have since claimed that nine additional names have emerged during their investigation into Balyan's alleged role in the syndicate.
