E Delhi park remains poorly lit, lacks CCTVS

DILSHAD GARDEN } DAY AFTER ‘DEER PARK’ MURDER

NEW DELHI: A day after a 23-year-old man was stabbed to death inside Deer Park in east Delhi’s Dilshad Garden, locals and visitors alleged the park remains poorly lit, with no CCTV cameras or guards, making it is an unsafe spot in the locality after dark.
The deceased, Viresh Rathore, had gone to the park with his female friend when four persons, including two juveniles, allegedly slit his throat and stabbed him, in a snatching bid. Police had told HT that a security guard was deployed in the park during the evening.
