RTE SCAM: 11 Admissions Cancelled Over Fake Addresses

Nearly two weeks after the Panvel Municipal Panchayat Samiti recommended the cancellation of 15 Right to Education (RTE) admissions at a Kharghar school, the Raigad Zilla Parishad has flagged 11 more cases of suspected fraud—this time at Ramseth Thakur Public School in Panvel.
These latest recommendations follow a physical verification process, which found that several students had submitted fake residential documents to falsely qualify for RTE seats. The RTE Act, 2009 mandates that private unaided schools reserve 25% of their seats for children from economically weaker sections residing within a 1-km radius.
