Parents' Body Flags Concerns Over FYJC Admission Reforms

Two days after the Maharashtra government announced a statewide centralised online system for First-Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions from 2025-26, a Pune-based parents' association has raised concerns over potential malpractices.

In a letter to the school education commissioner, the association demanded an audit of past admissions and the implementation of recommendations from a 2017 KPMG audit, which highlighted lapses in the system. They insist these steps be taken before finalising the new admission process.
