MI6 Defends New Chief Over Shocking Nazi Grandad Revelations

The UK's foreign intelligence service, MI6, has distanced itself from the dark past of its incoming chief, Blaise Metreweli, after revelations emerged linking her to a Nazi war criminal, the BBC reported.

Metreweli, named earlier this month as the first woman to head MI6 in its 116-year history, has come under scrutiny following reports that her paternal grandfather was Constantine Dobrowolski, a Soviet defector who became a key Nazi informant in Ukraine during World War II. He was known to Wehrmacht officers as "The Butcher" or "Agent No. 30".
