Vacant plots to attract LDA maintenance fees

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will introduce maintenance charges for vacant plot allottees in Gomti Nagar Extension to tackle problems like dirt, waterlogging, and anti-social activities.

The move follows complaints raised during the Janta Adalat on Thursday.
In the Adalat, Rajesh Kumar Singh, a resident of Vardaan Khand in Gomti Nagar Extension, highlighted that around 20 plots near his house were lying vacant, leading to unhygienic conditions and gatherings of anti-social elements.
Acting on this complaint, LDA additional secretary Gyanendra Verma directed the executive engineer to clean the area and inspect the colony.
