UP girls script golden chapter in handball

Hosts Uttar Pradesh on Sunday scripted a golden chapter by winning their maiden title at the 47th National Junior Girls Handball Championship, defeating Himachal Pradesh 19-17 in a thrilling final, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Multipurpose Hall of KD Singh 'Babu' Stadium on the occasion of the 50th Foundation Day of Uttar Pradesh Handball Association.
LUCKNOW:
Bronze medalist at the last edition of the event, Uttar Pradesh girls played brilliantly and even after trailing, bounced back superbly and registered a splendid victory. In the first half, both the teams made sharp attacks, but Himachal Pradesh players prevailed due to their agility and took a lead of 10-8.
