Stung by bees, CRPF sniffer dog dies during Chhattisgarh anti-Maoist op

Two-year-old Belgian Shepherd Malinois, Rolo, became the only fatality of the 21-day anti-Maoist operation in the Kerraguttalu hills, straddled between Telangana and Chhattisgarh, after he came under attack from a swarm of bees on April 27.
NEW DELHI:
The female sniffer dog will be posthumously awarded a director generals (DG) commendation disc, officials aware of the matter said. Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officers in Chhattisgarh accorded a ceremonial funeral to the dog from the force's K9 squad.
