Rama, Shashi guide UP qualify for knockout

Sparkling half centuries by openers Rama Kushwah and Shashi Balan helped favourites Uttar Pradesh qualify for the knockout of the Women's Under-19 One Day Trophy, scripting a facile 127-run victory over Himachal Pradesh, at the Lady Amritbai Daga College Ground in Nagpur on Sunday.
LUCKNOW:
Kushwaha struck 78-ball 79 with the help of 11 boundaries and a six, whereas Balan scored 50 in 75 balls with the help of six boundaries as Uttar Pradesh piled up 268/9 while batting first after winning the toss.
Besides these two, Priyanshi Yadav (31, 62b, 2x4), Bhumi Singh (30, 33b, 3x4) and Bharti Singh (21, 10b, 4x4) made useful contributions. For Himachal Pradesh, Dhanya Laxmi, Imani K Negi and Anshika Thakur shared six wickets between them.
