Pooran says LSG's 'depth' can change the game

West Indies batter Nicholas Pooran loves to hit the ball with all his power.
LUCKNOW: Another love of his is sending the ball out of the park in the cash-rich Indian Premier League. Pooran, who will represent Lucknow Super Giants for the third time, is back to hog the limelight again.
On his third visit to India for the IPL, Pooran expressed his excitement for the warm weather and the warm reception that India always offers. "I enjoy hitting the cricket ball with sheer power. It thrills me..." Pooran told HT on Tuesday on the sidelines of an event here.
"Getting to India from the islands took almost 24 hours. But I'm looking forward to being in India again. I love how the people of India welcome us," said Pooran, who scored 499 runs in the last season of the IPL. He scored three half-centuries and hit 35 fours and 36 sixes last time.
He, however, said he hadn't set any specific goal for himself this time, but playing well for LSG was his target. "No expectations—just take it one game at a time and do what I need to do for our team to win. Hopefully, that comes with a lot of success. Obviously, we want to be successful at the end of the tournament, so that means not only me but all the other players putting their hand up for the team and doing what's required."
