PATNA: The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police has arrested Sanjeev Kumar Singh, the alleged mastermind behind the leak of question papers of a number of competitive exams, including the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) in 2024, from the state capital, officers said on Friday.
Singh, who also goes by aliases Sanjeev Mukhiya and Lutan Singh, was absconding for a long time and carried a reward of ₹3 lakh on his head, additional director general of EOU Nayyar Husnain Khan said.
"There was specific tip-off about Mukhiya's presence in an apartment in Danapur and based on that Patna SSP was requested for local assistance. Mukhiya was arrested in a joint operation by the EOU and district police from the apartment in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday," Khan said.
