Man Held for Duping Job Seekers With Fake Overseas Offers

A 28-year-old man was arrested for allegedly running a fraudulent racket that lured job seekers with fake overseas employment offers, police said on Friday.
LUCKNOW: Mohammed Haroon was caught at Mau railway station and was found in possession of two mobile phones and 15 fake visa copies.
The arrest was made following a complaint by Pawan Kumar Verma, a resident of Indira Nagar, Lucknow, who accused Haroon and his associates of duping him of ₹1.8 lakh on the pretext of a job abroad. An FIR was registered at Sushant Golf City police station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
