Before hitting his career-best 198 against Bihar last month in a Ranji Trophy game, Delhi's Abhishek Goswami didn't have anything to remember as in his first first-class match this season against Karnataka at Lucknow in November, he had just five and three in his name in two innings.
LUCKNOW: Before hitting his career-best 198 against Bihar last month in a Ranji Trophy game, Delhi's Abhishek Goswami didn't have anything to remember as in his first first-class match this season against Karnataka at Lucknow in November, he had just five and three in his name in two innings.
But thereafter, he played some fine innings, including two half-centuries, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in December where Uttar Pradesh failed to make it to the knockout for yet another time.
While continuing his fine run with willow in the longer format of the game, Goswami on Saturday played yet another fine knock to keep former champions Uttar Pradesh stay in hunt for a first innings lead in the season's last Ranji Trophy match against hosts Madhya Pradesh at Indore.
