Final chance for UP to finish season with some pride in domestic cricket

Uttar Pradesh owns the pride of winning the Vijay Hazare Trophy only once in 2004-05 when they shared it with Tamil Nadu at the Wankhade Stadium in Mumbai.
LUCKNOW: Thereafter, they finished runner-up twice in 2005-06 and 2020-21.
The season-ending domestic event, starting Saturday when Uttar Pradesh lock horns with Jammu and Kashmir, at the Dr PVS Raju ACA Sports Complex at Vizianagaram, will be the final opportunity for Rinku Singh-led side to finish the season on a high as so far the side has been a failure in both Ranji Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy.
