Minister Directs Strict Vigil for Outbreak of Seasonal Diseases

As monsoon set in across Rajasthan, health minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar on Wednesday directed officials to ensure robust arrangements for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of seasonal diseases across all districts,
JAIPUR: officials aware of the matter said, adding the minister has directed to put special focus on areas experiencing heavy rainfall to keep disease outbreaks under control.
Addressing a review meeting in Jaipur, Khimsar took stock of preparedness for seasonal illnesses, and provided specific instructions for effective disease control.
"Last year's proactive approach had led to a significant reduction in seasonal disease cases and fatalities," Khimsar said.
The minister called for a similar approach this year to check an outbreak.
