Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said the New India led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was ready to give a befitting reply to those who dared to breach the security of the people.
LAKHIMPUR KHERI: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said the New India led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was ready to give a befitting reply to those who dared to breach the security of the people.
"Yeh naya Bharat kisi ko chhedta nahin lekin agar koi chhedega toh usko chhodega bhi nahin. (The 'New India' does not provoke anyone. But if someone provokes, that person will not be spared)," Adityanath said, reaffirming the zero tolerance policy.
Speaking at a public meeting in Lakhimpur Kheri district's Pallia, he began his speech by condemning the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22 that killed 26 people, mostly tourists.
"I condemn the terrorist attack on behalf of the people of Uttar Pradesh and express my condolences to all the bereaved families. There is no place for terrorism or anarchy in society," Adityanath said.
He also said, "The model of governance of the Union government was based on development, welfare of the poor and security of everyone."
Speaking about the security situation in Uttar Pradesh, the chief minister said, "Under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, we have made the state mafia-free, freed it from anarchy and riots, and made it the leading economy of the country."
