The Delhi high court on Wednesday directed the Union government to frame guidelines within three months for empanelling lawyers to represent it before various authorities.

A bench of Chief Justice DK Upadhyay and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela issued the direction while dealing with a petition filed by a lawyer, Vishal Sharma, challenging the Centre's September 11 decision on lawyers empanelled to represent it before the high court and Delhi courts.
