Ex-C'garh excise minister arrested in liquor case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday arrested Chhattisgarh legislator and former excise minister Kawasi Lakhma in connection with an alleged liquor scam, officials said.
RAIPUR:
The federal agency previously raided the premises of the six-time MLA and his son in Raipur, Sukma, and Dhamtari districts of the state on December 28 as part of its money laundering probe. Lakhma was arrested after he was summoned to the ED office in the Pachpedi Naka area of Raipur on Wednesday. The court granted custodial remand to ED till January 21.
