BJP's Purvanchali stars go all out to woo community

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) picked up the pace in the high-intensity campaigns to woo Purvanchali voters in the Capital, deploying member of Parliament (MP) Ravi Kishan and North East Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari to address public gatherings on Saturday, in a show of support for the Purvanchali base.
NEW DELHI:
Addressing the public of Delhi for the first time ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, actor-turned politician Kishan held gatherings at Chhatarpur, Kalkaji and Mehrauli to support the BJP candidates from these areas.
Purvanchalis refer to people from East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, and political parties believe they account for over a sixth of Delhi's population.
