Ensuring Adequate Irrigation Facility for Every Farm

With the enhancement of the irrigation capacity of the state to 10 lakh hectares, the crop production will increase manifolds

During the Krishak Kalyan Varsh-2026, special emphasis will be placed on increasing the area under irrigation in the state. Efforts will be made to maximise the irrigation area through various irrigation projects and the use of modem irrigation technology.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is committed to enhancing the irrigation capacity in the state to reach 10 lakh hectares in the coming years.

In the past two years, 7.31 lakh hectares of new irrigation capacity have been developed in the state. By the year 2026, the state's irrigation capacity is expected to increase by 8.44 lakh hectares. The review of the state's irrigation projects will be conducted using the ‘PM Gati Shakti’ portal.
