The Delhi Government, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, launched a comprehensive anti- pollution drive that combines installation of mist spray units, distribution of electric heaters to night watchmen, signing of MoUs with the GMR Group and IOCL for major road beautification, and urged citizens to report pollution issues via the “MCD-311” App for faster action

Delhi Govt Ups the Ante in Fight Against Air Pollution

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta directed all government agencies to work on a war footing to curb pollution in the national capital. She announced the formation of an expert committee, comprising senior officials from key departments, IITs, and environmental scientists, to monitor and strengthen Delhi's pollution-control efforts.

CM Gupta urged people, corporate houses, and government agencies to share responsibility for cleaner air under the campaign — “Pradushan Ke Viruddh Dilli ka Yuddh.”

She ordered all departments to identify and fill potholes and ensure that no stretch of road remains broken. The CM urged hotel and restaurant owners to install mist spray systems on rooftops, calling the hospitality sector an essential partner in the city’s antipollution efforts. Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa added that the “311 - Green App” was being strengthened as the central platform for monitoring dust hotspots, potholes, and brown areas.
