THE BJP'S MOVE COMES CLOSE ON THE HEELS OF A DISPUTE OVER THE GUARDIAN MINISTERSHIP OF RAIGAD AND NASHIK DISTRICTS
MUMBAI: The Maharashtra unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday announced that the party will appoint its senior leaders as sampark pramukhs (communication chiefs) in the 16 districts where legislators from NCP and Shiv Sena were appointed as guardian ministers.
The party's move comes close on the heels of a dispute over the guardian ministership of Raigad and Nashik districts, which led to a stay on the appointments.
The appointments of sampark pramukhs are being made to ensure better coordination with the state government.
