Dhami releases BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' for upcoming civic polls

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday released its "Sankalp Patra" (manifesto) with separate resolution documents for each of the 11 municipal corporations ahead of the upcoming urban local body elections.

In the manifestos, the BJP promised clean cities, efficient garbage collection, pothole-free roads, an environment-friendly transport system, beautification works, formation of committees to review taxes and development of new parking facilities. Other promises included development of Suvidha Kendras and a mobile application for smooth delivery of essential services, community-based shelters for stray cattle, promotion of tourism, and regularization of slums.

The manifesto was released at the state BJP headquarters in Dehradun in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, his cabinet ministers, and several MLAs.

Dhami said the BJP's "Sankalp Patra" is not a symbol of the party's strong commitment to urban development but a reliable guarantee for the upcoming five years. "It is a testament of our dedication and a reflection of steps taken for the overall development and prosperity of people. It is not only a blueprint of development plans but shows the working style of the party. The BJP doesn't just make announcements but turns them into reality."

"Our aim is to make every section of society economically capable and provide them with the highest quality of life," he added.
