REFER HECI BILL TO PARL PANEL: CONG MP TO EDU MIN

Congress MP Digvijaya Singh, who heads the parliamentary standing committee on education, women, children, youth and sports, on Friday urged Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan to refer the proposed Higher Education Commission of India (HECI) Bill, 2025, to his panel for discussion before it is taken up by Parliament during the upcoming winter session.
In a letter to Pradhan, Singh stated that the bill is a "significant legislation" which "majorly rewrites the existing education governance architecture" of India. "I believe it is critical that it be examined and discussed by the parliamenta
