Man Beaten to Death on UP-Bound Train, Family Alleges Enmity

A 39-year-old man was beaten to death by a mob onboard an Uttar Pradesh-bound train allegedly following a dispute over a seat, officials said on Saturday, adding that all five accused have been arrested.
MEERUT: The victim's family, however, have alleged that the attack could be a result of an old enmity.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Shweta Ashutosh said the incident happened on the Delhi-Shamli passenger train on Friday when the victim, Deepak Yadav, was returning home to Baghpat from Delhi, where he worked at a chandelier showroom.
