India Post now halts all mail services to US

Days after it announced that it was only temporarily suspending parcel services to the US over confusion caused by new import duty rules, the Department of Posts (DoP) has now suspended all categories of mail, even letters, documents, and gift items worth up to $100 (₹8,814).
Citing carriers’ inability to transport US-bound mail and the absence of clear regulatory mechanisms, the DoP has ordered a complete suspension of all mail categories to the US.
