{ MADE EMERGENCY LANDING IN KERALA } Grounded since June I4, British jet to return to UK today

A British F-35B fighter jet, grounded at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala for over a month due toa suspected hydraulic failure, is set to return to the UK on Tuesday after successful repairs, an airport official aware of the matter said on Monday.
“The fighter jet, after repairs, has been brought out of the hangar and is currently placed in the parking bay of the airport. Ithas been refueled. The jet will fly out of the airport on Tuesday,” the official said.
The advanced stealth jet, belonging to the Royal Navy and part of the HMS Prince of Wales Carrier Strike Group, was repaired by a 2l-member expert team armed with specialist equipment that arrived from the UK at the Thiruvananthapuram airport on July 6.
