A man from Haryana's Karnal is among one of the deceased in a deadly attack in Pahalgam.
KARNAL: He has been identified as Vinay Narwal, 26, a lieutenant with the Indian Navy.
Quoting unnamed defence officials, news agency ANI said that Narwal was posted in Kochi, who was on leave and got married last week.
While the district administration was confirming his family details till writing of this report, police sources said that he was a native of Bhusli village of Karnal district and his family was residing at Sector 7 in the city.
Terrorists opened fire at a famed meadow near Kashmir's Pahalgam town on Tuesday afternoon, killing 26 people, in what is the deadliest attack in the Valley since the Pulwama strike in 2019.
