Techie kills ex-girlfriend, fakes his suicide; arrested

A 53-year-old software engineer has been arrested for allegedly murdering his former partner and then drinking a mild cleaning agent to make it seem like they both wanted to die by suicide in Bengaluru district of Karnataka, police said on Sunday, adding that the accused had conspired to kill the woman because she wanted to part ways.
BENGALURU:
Police have identified the accused as Imhad Basha and the victim as Uzma Khan (45).
According to inspector M Azharuddin, the two had been in a relationship in 2010, but ended up marrying different people due to opposition from their families. "The two, however, continued to be in a relationship and divorced their spouses in 2016 and 2017."
