Omar Meets Modi, Discusses Ground Situation in J&K

First meeting between the leaders after the April 22 terror strike
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday and discussed several issues related to the Union territory, especially after the terror attack in Baisaran on April 22.
The first meeting between Omar and Modi since the attack which killed 26 people lasted around 30 minutes at the prime minister's residence.
According to officials, Omar briefed PM Modi about the ground situation, especially the outrage among the people over the attack and their spontaneous protests against it. "Met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today to discuss key issues concerning Jammu & Kashmir," Abdullah posted on X.
National Conference leaders said Omar discussed important issues with PM Modi, especially in the backdrop of the Pahalgam attack. The meeting comes at a time when there is a mounting tension along the Line of Control and International Border.
"J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah called on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and discussed various issues, including last week's Pahalgam terror attack," NC posted on X.
