Sena minister’s ‘cash bag’ video sparks row

A day after social justice minister Sanjay Shirsat received a notice from the Income Tax department regarding a surge in his assets, a video of him emerged on social media in which he is purportedly seen sitting on a bed with what appears to be bundles of currency notes ina bag beside him.
The video was shared online by Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Friday. Shirsat, Shiv Sena MLA from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and a close aide of deputy CM Eknath Shinde, has dismissed the claim, saying that the bag contained only clothes.
