NEW DELHI: During the debate over the no-confidence motion against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju suggested that Congress would have performed better had party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra been the Leader of Opposition (LoP) instead of her brother Rahul Gandhi.

Hitting back at the Treasury Bench, Priyanka Gandhi said: “There's only one person in this country who has not buckled in front of them (BJP) in the past 12 years and he is the LoP. He speaks truth fearlessly and thy can't swallow the truth.”
