Kids Among 3 Dead After Truck Overturns in Dwarka

A 26-year-old man and two children—aged around three and seven—were killed, and at least 10 others injured after a mini-truck carrying over 20 people overturned on a flyover on the Dwarka Expressway on Wednesday afternoon.
NEW DELHI: Police said the vehicle flipped to its side after a rear tire burst.
The man who died was the father of the three-year-old girl who also succumbed to her injuries.
According to police, the victims were laborers traveling in a Tata Ace mini-truck after work. They were on their way from Nizamuddin to Manesar in Haryana when the accident occurred.
A PCR call reporting the incident was made around 3:54 pm by commuters who saw the overturned vehicle near the Dwarka Sector 23 flyover. A total of 22 laborers were made to travel inside the tempo, police said.
"We first received a call about the accident on the road from Dwarka Sector 9 to Sector 20. Around four minutes later, we were told it was on the Dwarka Expressway. A team was immediately rushed to the spot," said deputy commissioner of police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh.
