Jakhar Questions CM Mann Over Drug, Corruption Menace in State

Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, accusing chief minister Bhagwant Mann of failing to deliver on his promises to fight corruption and drug abuse in the state.

Speaking at a press conference alongside Union minister Ravneet Singh Bittu and BJP Ludhiana West by-election candidate Jiwan Gupta, Jakhar questioned the CM's commitment to eradicating corruption, stating that despite repeated claims, no significant action had been taken on the ground.
"You said in the assembly that you have files on corrupt politicians. If you have them, why are you silent? Have you compromised with the guilty or is there something else stopping you from taking action?" Jakhar said.
Jakhar further accused the AAP government of turning into "commission agents" for real estate lobbies, betraying the trust of the people by failing to act on corruption despite repeated assurances.
