OFFICIALS SAID ₹37 LAKH IN CASH, SIX LAPTOPS, ONE IPHONE 16 PRO MOBILE PHONE RECOVERED
NEW DELHI: Gangster Joginder Geong was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Saturday, six months after he was held in Philippines and later deported to India, police said on Sunday, adding that Geong has been on the run for three years and was involved in over 25 cases in Delhi-NCR.
Geong is an associate of jailed gangster Kaushal Chaudhary and fugitives Arsh Dalla and Lucky Patial -- rivals of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police said Geong was involved in the killing of Youth Akali Dal leader Vicky Medukhera in 2021 and has been living in Philippines's Bacolod since then using a forged identity document. In July 2024, the Bureau of Immigration in Bacolod nabbed him.
