AN URBAN explorer from Rochdale has visited a Pontins Holiday Park in Southport which shut down in 2023 saying it looked as if “time had stood still.”
Matt, from Rochdale, tumbled upon the abandoned park and thought he would “check it out.”
As an urban explorer, he usually favours establishments such as forgotten-hospitals, but when he turned up to the Pontins resort, he couldn’t believe just how much “time had stood still.”
He said the holiday apartments had remained untouched, with kitchen appliances, furniture and other furnishings still in tact in every flat.
