Wet weather decimates cricket programme, but Paignton seconds enjoy a win in the rain

IT was a soggy Saturday in the Tolchards DCL as rain washed out cricket in all 17 divisions of the competition.
Only seven games got under way and only four of them were played to a finish!
Among the casualties was the A Division meeting between Torquay & Kingskerswell and Kilmington on the Recreation Ground.
The game got as far as the 11th over when the second stoppage of the afternoon brought a terminal halt to proceedings with Kilmington on 46 for one.
The man out was Kilmington opener Tom Gooding (28), who was dismissed by Chris Kelmere.
Torquay & Kingskerswell will hope for better weather this Saturday when they pay a visit to Plympton.
