Fundraising to refurbish pool starts in earnest with community event

AN outdoor swimming pool in Dartington could be brought back to life next spring - if a grassroots campaign's festival made a big enough splash.
A vibrant, family-friendly extravaganza was held at Meadowbrook Park last Sunday to help raise the £500,000 needed to rebuild the long-shuttered swimming pool.
The Dartington Swimming Pool, a local fixture for more than 50 years, was closed in 2022 owing to its deteriorating condition.
Generations of children had learned to swim there, with many people seeing it as a cornerstone of village life.
