Double family tragedy was a festive agony for gran

A Blantyre gran rocked by a double death tragedy has shared her pain over losing her granddaughter and daughter in the space of just nine months.
Heartbroken Diane Edgar has paid tribute to Paula, 34, and her granddaughter Pixie, saying that the festive season is a tough time without them.
Six-month-old Pixie tragically passed away from Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) while being bathed by her mum on February 24 last year.
Paula had spent 18 years trying for a baby, including IVF, before she fell pregnant with Pixie just months before Christmas of 2024.
Following the pain of losing her baby, the mum started having seizures from two tumours on her brain.
