Royal Albert boss Connor Whitelaw hopes for a summer of stability to bring a feel-good factor back, after a difficult year for the club and Stonehouse community.

- ANDY MCGILVRAY

The West of Scotland Fourth Division club were told that South Lanarkshire Council were looking to off-load Tilework Park, with a committee hastily set up to go about taking control, and a deal for that has almost been concluded.

On the park, Albert are 12th in the West of Scotland Fourth Division, but hope to challenge next season.

Whitelaw said: "Our facilities were always leased off South Lanarkshire Council, and we had heard rumours and whispers, but pretty much overnight we were told we had three months to come together with a plan to take full control of the facilities.
