SHARJAH: The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) announced the launch of a new service that enables Emiratis to have their passports issued and renewed in just five minutes. The move aims to ease travel for Emiratis and expedite their transactions.

- Reed Al Suweidi, Staff Reporter

The ICP stated that the service is available round the clock at all airports in the country, where travellers can complete the renewal or issuance process immediately, while they are at the airport.

This initiative comes in line with the state's vision to enhance the quality of government services and provide innovative solutions that meet the needs of customers.

The ICP advised all Emiratis to check the validity of their passports before travelling, especially if they are valid for less than six months, to avoid any obstacles that might hinder their journey.
