SEWA installs over 181,000 smart meters

Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA), represented by the Electricity Distribution Department, continues to implement its project to replace old mechanical electricity meters with smart ones.

This initiative is part of a comprehensive development plan aimed at enhancing network efficiency and improving service quality.
Since the project's launch, more than 181,000 smart meters have been installed and replaced in Sharjah City.
Over 4,000 smart meters were installed and replaced since the beginning of 2025, reflecting the authority's ongoing commitment to its development plans.
