Kerala's new airline to make debut soon

A new airline emerging from Kerala, named “Al Hind Air,” is set to make its debut in the Indian aviation market.
The federal aviation ministry has issued no-objection certificates (NOCs), a crucial regulatory step that allows the airline to initiate operations, to Al Hind Air and two other airlines.
Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu announced that this initiative aims to enhance competition and reduce the market dominance of existing carriers, especially in light of recent challenges faced by major carriers such as IndiGo.
Shankh Air from Lucknow and Fly Express from Hyderabad are the other two airlines that received NOCs, joining Al Hind Air, backed by the Al Hind Group, a key player in the travel and tourism industry.
All three are set to start operations in 2026, expanding India’s domestic aviation sector.
In a post on X, the minister expressed his satisfaction in engaging with teams from the new airlines.
